Proof of Life

That V8 emblem hanging below the oval isn't decoration — Ford started stamping it onto hoods and tailgates back in 1932, a small badge of pride announcing the engine under the hood. Decades later, it's outlasted the paint job it's mounted on. The blue has gone the way of most old truck paint — chalky, scarred, patched with rust bleeding up through the seams — but the chrome badge holds its shine, dents and pitting and all. It's a study in what survives: not the smooth surfaces, but the stubborn ones.
